 Çimsa generated sales revenues of

TRY 25.4 billion in the first half of the year

Continuing to support its operational strength with financial performance, Çimsa, a Sabancı Group company, announced its results for the first half of 2026. Despite the contraction in cement consumption in Türkiye, Çimsa maintained its strong performance and increased its consolidated sales volume with the contribution of its grey cement grinding facility in the United States. Çimsa’s net sales amounted to TRY 25.4 billion in the first half of the year. Through disciplined cost management, the company generated EBITDA of TRY 4.2 billion, while increasing its net profit by 47 percent to TRY 2.3 billion.

“ÇİMSA INCREASED ITS ALTERNATIVE FUEL UTILIZATION RATE IN IRELAND FROM 61% TO 79%”

Çimsa’s investments in alternative fuel utilization across its various facilities in recent years alleviated cost pressures. At Mannok, which joined Çimsa in the last quarter of 2024, the alternative fuel usage rate increased from 61% in the first six months of last year to 79% in the first half of this year. While the alternative fuel utilization rate at Çimsa’s facilities in Türkiye was 16 percent in the first half of last year, this rate increased to 24 percent in the first half of 2026.

“WE WILL SEE THE IMPACT OF THE CAC INVESTMENT ON THE BALANCE SHEET IN THE COMING PERIOD”

Commenting on the matter, Chairman of the Board of Çimsa, Umut Zenar, stated that Çimsa positively differentiates itself from the sector in many respects and said, “Our proactive cost management, global sales channels and product portfolio are among the primary factors that set us apart positively. At the same time, one of Çimsa’s greatest strengths is its ability to successfully manage the present while taking strategic steps today to shape the future. Our calcium aluminate cement investment, which was commissioned at our Mersin facility in recent weeks, is a very strong demonstration of this. With our newly commissioned investment, we increased our production capacity in CAC, one of the most strategic products in the global building materials sector, by 50 percent. Today, with our CAC production capacity approaching 200,000 tons, we have reached a level where we can single-handedly meet approximately 20% of global demand in markets outside China. With the CAC investment, approximately 90 percent of the capacity in Mersin is exported to global markets. We will also begin to see the impact of this investment on our financial results and foreign currency revenues in the coming periods. In line with its strategy of becoming a player in different markets and its goal of growing in value-added products, Çimsa will continue to deliver successful financial performance in the period ahead”.
