Çimsa achieved a turnover of TL 11.5 billion a net profit of TL 1.9 billion in the first half of 2024.

Sabancı Holding’s subsidiary Çimsa announced its financial results for the first 6 months of 2024.

Çimsa achieved a turnover of 11.5 billion TL in the first half of the year and increased its net profit by 4.2% to 1.9 billion TL compared to the same period last year.

Çimsa announced its financial results for the first 6 months. In addition to its financial performance, Çimsa achieved significant success with its sustainability efforts, customer-oriented innovative solutions and increasing effectiveness in global markets, resulting in a turnover of TL 11.5 billion during this period. Çimsa increased its net profit by 4.2% in annual real terms to TL 1.9 billion during the same period.

Çimsa crowned these financial achievements with its progress in sustainability. Çimsa CEO Umut Zenar defined the company’s performance during this period as follows: “The steps we have taken in sustainability as Çimsa, the successful registration of our low-carbon products and our inclusion in the FTSE4Good Emerging Index, along with our leadership in exports, show that we are on the right track. We will continue to take robust steps into the future and add value to both our country and the sector.”.

Umut Zenar continued as follows: Increasing our momentum in the Fortune 500 and Capital 500 lists, which show the real performance of companies, confirms Çimsa’s position and financial strength in the sector, as well as increasing our credibility in the eyes of our investors and business partners. We prove that we are taking the right steps to achieve our strategic goals. Our goal for the coming period is to achieve a stronger position in the global market by continuing to invest in our sustainable growth and innovative projects. Thus, we will continue to make a name for ourselves not only in Türkiye but also internationally.”

Çimsa made a major leap in the “Fortune 500 Türkiye’s Largest Companies” list compiled by Fortune Türkiye by climbing 55 places in the overall ranking and settling among the top 100 companies. Following the Fortune Survey, Çimsa bypassed 44 places in Capital Magazine’s “Türkiye’s 500 Largest Companies” survey. This success is considered as an indication that Çimsa has increased its strength and reputation both nationally and internationally.

Another significant step reinforcing Çimsa’s sustainability-oriented investments was the EUR 25 million loan agreement signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The long-term financing provided by the EBRD to a cement company for the first time in Türkiye will be used for the Solar Power Plant (SPP) and Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems and other energy and efficiency projects to be realized at the Eskişehir Plant. In addition, the solar power plant investment completed by the company at the Buñol Plant in Spain once again demonstrated Çimsa’s commitment to renewable energy as well as its commitment to environmental sustainability.

In addition, Çimsa was deemed worthy of the first prizes in the categories of “The Company with the Most Exports” in the white cement sector and “The Company with the Most Export Increase” in the gray cement sector at the 2023 Champions of Export Awards.
