ÇİMSA SEES TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION AS KEY ‘ACCELERATORS’
Onur Yazgan, Vice President of Marketing & Sales for White Cement and Special Products at Çimsa, emphasized that the company has transformed from a local cement exporter into a global player in construction materials, with production facilities on three continents.
He stated, “Çimsa’s transformation goes beyond expanding its geographical reach or opening new production centers. A crucial part of our transformation strategy is providing eco-friendly solutions that meet the needs of customers and industries in these regions. As we shift our product portfolio from ‘gray to green’, we see technology and innovation as vital accelerators in this process. Our R&D centers in Mersin and Munich work in great synergy. These centers not only explore ways to commercialize innovations that will shape the future of the industry but also leverage customer connections to introduce Çimsa’s extensive product portfolio to diverse markets.”
Having made significant strides in recent years, Çimsa has gained international recognition and is cited as an exemplary company for its transition from cement to construction materials. During the events, Çimsa shared its experiences with participants, highlighting its calcium aluminate cement (CAC), developed specifically for users of construction chemicals. This product stands out for its rapid strength gain, high-temperature resistance, and superior performance against chemical abrasives.
Additionally, Çimsa introduced visitors to its innovative solutions, developed to meet the needs of various industries through the synergy between its R&D center Formülhane in Mersin and the Sabancı Technology Center in Munich.a
