Çimsa once again justified its leadership in exports by sweeping a total of five awards at the “6th Champions of Export Awards Ceremony” organized by the Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters’ Association. Çimsa was awarded first prize in the categories of “The Company with the Most Exports” in the white cement sector and “The Company with the Most Export Increase” in the gray cement sector.
In addition, the company was deemed worthy of awards in the categories of “Company with the Most Exports” in the general cement (including clinker) and clinker sectors at the same ceremony in gray cement.
Çimsa CEO Umut Zenar made a statement on the subject as follows: “As Çimsa, we continue to maintain our leadership in the sector with our exports in 2023. We were entitled to receive these awards for our successful export performance in 2023. We are extremely proud to be deemed worthy of these awards as the leader of the sector. We want to thank all Çimsa employees who contributed to this success”.
Stating that 2024 was also going well, Zenar said, “These awards are an indication of Çimsa’s resolve and success in exports. We are determined to increase our export performance and maintain our leadership in global markets in the coming period. We will continue our success with our innovation and sustainability-oriented strategies. In addition, as the first and only Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC) producer in Türkiye, we have achieved a strong position in CAC exports with our new production facility in Mersin. This important investment has doubled our CAC production capacity and we have become one of the three largest CAC producers in the global market. We continue to increase our impact worldwide while we contribute to the mobilization of value-added exports of Türkiye.”
